We're looking for an analytical, collaborative Associate Planner who enjoys retail, solves problems with data, and is eager to grow in a fast-paced environment. Role Overview The Associate Planner supports merchandise planning and allocation across MadRag's 93+ stores. Working closely with the Planner, Buyers, Allocators, and store teams, you'll develop and maintain merchandise plans, analyze business performance, and help ensure inventory is positioned to meet sales goals and customer needs. This role combines financial planning with hands-on inventory management and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on business results. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain pre-season and in-season financial plans for assigned merchandise categories, classes, and key items.
• Monitor sales, inventory, and forecast performance; identify risks and opportunities and recommend actions.
• Partner with the Planner and Buyers to manage weekly open-to-buy (OTB), inventory flow, and assortment needs.
• Support allocation and replenishment decisions to maintain appropriate inventory levels across all stores, considering store performance, demographics, and climate.
• Analyze weekly and seasonal results, including sales, sell-through, turnover, and inventory levels, to support profitability and minimize stock issues.
• Collaborate with Buyers to identify assortment gaps and challenges and help ensure plans are executed effectively.
• Provide ad hoc analysis, reporting, and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Build knowledge of store-specific needs through data analysis and collaboration with field teams.
• Support the Planner with projects and departmental analysis.
• Provide backup for key departmental functions, including reporting, allocation, inventory control, and resolving receiving or transfer issues.
• Help maintain strong inventory accuracy and promptly investigate discrepancies. What We're Looking For
• 3-5 years of experience in retail allocation, merchandise planning, or a related analytical role; fashion retail experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Strong retail math, analytical, and quantitative skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions; experience with merchandise planning or inventory systems such as JDA, SAP, or similar is preferred.
• Working knowledge of retail metrics such as sales, sell-through, inventory turnover, and open-to-buy.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
• Organized and dependable, with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, adapt to change, and work well under pressure.
