Job Description
Bakery Merchandiser Job Description We are partners in caring for our neighbors' families, homes, and communities. The Bakery Merchandiser is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the bakery departments, ensuring excellent product quality, strong customer service, food safety compliance, and an efficient, well-trained team. This role supports sales growth, controls shrink and labor, and maintains department standards for merchandising, freshness, and cleanliness. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily bakery operations, including production, packaging, merchandising, sanitation, and customer service.
- Lead, train, and coach bakery associates to maintain productivity, service standards, and a positive team environment. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary or bakery training preferred.
- 2+ years of bakery, food service, or supermarket perishable experience required.
- Previous merchandiser, lead, or trainer experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of bakery production, merchandising, product rotation, and freshness standards.
