TJ Sheehan Distributing is seeking a Merchandiser to support retail, bar, and restaurant accounts across Central and Upstate New York. In this fast-paced role, you will stock shelves and coolers, rotate inventory, build eye-catching displays, place point-of-sale materials, and ensure accurate product placement to company and supplier standards. You'll work closely with sales and delivery teams, communicate with store managers, and report on inventory or merchandising issues. This field-based position requires reliability, strong attention to detail, safe lifting, and a customer-focused mindset that reflects our family-owned culture. Responsibilities Merchandise beer and beverages in retail, bar, and restaurant accounts per planograms and brand standards Stock shelves, coolers, and displays; rotate product using FIFO to ensure freshness Build and maintain promotional and seasonal point-of-sale displays Monitor inventory levels on shelves and in backroom; communicate out-of-stocks or issues Ensure accurate pricing and signage for all featured and core items Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to support route and promotional execution Maintain clean, organized product sets that enhance brand visibility Follow all safety, lifting, and driving guidelines while working in accounts Provide professional, friendly service to store managers and staff Document work completed and report merchandising conditions to supervisors Required Skills Retail merchandising Planogram execution Inventory rotation (FIFO) Display building and signage Basic inventory management Customer and account communication Time and route management Safe lifting and material handling Use of handheld/mobile reporting tools Attention to detail and organization
