We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Area Supervisor to support operations across multiple Connecticut locations. This position is responsi Key Manager in Training Responsibilities include: Training and development of merchandisers Execute and maintain store level plan-o-grams Communicate issues from store to corporate level Field phone calls for your area from our clients, employees and office Visit stores on a regular basis to maintain a professional team relationship Manage allocated store hours Complete surveys & inventories on an as-needed basis In-store duties include stocking plant product, unloading racks and removing distressed product with approval and with updates to inventory lists The ideal Manager in Training candidate will have merchandising experience, a management background or horticulture and plant knowledge, but training is also available for enthusiastic and hard-working individuals with a desire to learn more about the lawn and garden industry. Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly during any shift Travel is required from store to store; reliable transportation is a must Working cell phone/ knowledge required-apps, email, text, phone calls etc. Walking, standing, bending, pushing and pulling Working indoor & outdoor during all seasons with a wide range of seasonal plants/metal display fixtures The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is comfortable traveling between locations, coaching employees, solving problems, and completing physical work when needed. This is a working supervisor position for someone who is willing to lead by example.
