In this vital role, you will oversee the entire parts department, ensuring seamless procurement, inventory control, and supply chain management to support efficient vehicle repairs. Your leadership will drive customer satisfaction by maintaining optimal parts availability, managing supplier relationships, and streamlining parts administration processes. On the job training is available and prior knowledge and/or experience in the field is helpful. Responsibilities Manage the procurement process for automotive parts and accessories, including sourcing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and negotiating pricing with suppliers. Oversee inventory management systems to ensure accurate parts tracking, stock levels, and demand planning. Coordinate logistics, shipping & receiving operations, and warehouse management to optimize parts flow and minimize delays. Utilize automotive knowledge to verify part compatibility with vehicle systems and support repair teams effectively. Maintain strong supplier relationships through regular communication, performance evaluations, and supplier management experience. Implement and monitor internal communication protocols to ensure smooth collaboration across departments. Helpful Qualifications Computer knowledge. We use a proprietary software system for Parts management. On the job training will be provided for this. Organizational skills to assist in the important parts matching process. Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement management, or logistics inventory management within the automotive or manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories, vehicle systems, and automotive diagnostics. Mechanical knowledge of automotive service processes is highly desirable.
