Partner with supervisor to maintain Service Scheduler. inspect, test, adjust, and repair bearings, lights, wiring, and brake assemblies of trailers and two vehicles. Replace and repair worn and defective parts. Lays out, fits, drills, screws, rivets, and welds to repair, replace and/or install parts and accessories on trailers, truck beds, tow vehicles, snowplows, and up-fitting accessories. Installs wood or metal flooring. Help customers hook up trailers. Perform visual safety inspection (lights, safety chain, decking, etc.) Perform warranty service and completes required documentation. Complete service paperwork or computer system entry completely and timely. Maintain service parts log and submit to management as required. Assist in the maintenance of parts inventory for store including purchasing of parts and supplies, receiving POs, and Cycle Counts. Assemble trailers, park and move trailers. Other duties, as assigned. Wash and prepare trailers for delivery. Receive and stock parts and supplies. Maintain lot including but not limited to mowing, weed removal, snow removal, picking up trash, installing exterior signs, banners, or flags. Inform location General Manager of any maintenance needs of company power equipment including tractor(s), forklift(s), etc. Clean and organize store and support areas as directed. Support opening and closing the facility as directed. Physical Demands To perform the duties of this job, an individual must be able to:
  • Talk and hear, read, write understand and communicate by telephone and in person using the English language.
  • Must be able to read written instructions, parts lists, technical manuals, and diagrams.
  • The employee is occasionally required to use hands for typing or telephone dialing. Regular use of hands for feeling, grasping, or manipulating objects, tools, or controls. Regular using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, moveover uneven surfaces.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
  • Occasional operation of computers, cash register, telephone, and printer/copier/scanner/fax.
  • Regular operation of tractors, forklifts, and other power equipment.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
