We are looking for a high-performing Parts Counter Professional with previous Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager experience to join our growing parts operations. This position can be based at either of our Capitol CDJR locations and is designed for someone who brings more to the counter than simply looking up part numbers.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCE.

You understand inventory. You understand gross profit. You understand technicians. You understand special orders, obsolescence, returns, warranty parts, purchasing and what it takes to keep a busy service department moving. Most importantly, you understand that the parts department exists to support the customer and the entire dealership.

MORE THAN A COUNTER POSITION

We're looking for someone who has the knowledge and experience of a Parts Manager but enjoys being involved in the day-to-day operation. You'll work directly with our service advisors and technicians to get the right part, the first time, as quickly as possible. You'll help maintain inventory accuracy, control special orders, manage returns, identify stocking opportunities and help ensure our shelves stay clean, organized and profitable. When a problem comes up, we're looking for someone who knows how to find the solution instead of simply passing the problem along.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Supporting technicians and service advisors at the back counter Accurately identifying and billing parts to repair orders Maintaining strong communication with the service department Ordering and tracking special-order parts Monitoring backorders and keeping the appropriate departments informed Processing returns and maintaining proper parts documentation Assisting with inventory control and bin accuracy Identifying obsolete and slow-moving inventory Supporting warranty parts retention and return requirements Helping maintain appropriate stocking levels Protecting parts gross profit while supporting service production Keeping the parts department clean, organized and professional Assisting department leadership with operational improvements

This is an excellent opportunity for a current or former Parts Manager, Assistant Parts Manager, experienced Parts Advisor or senior counterperson who knows dealership parts operations inside and out. CDJR / Mopar experience is a major plus. We're especially interested in someone who is: Organized. You know where things are and why they're there. Accountable.
