ABOUT NH REPAIRS NH
Repairs is a truck, trailer, and RV repair shop in Pompano Beach. We keep commercial fleets on the road, and we're growing. We're looking for one reliable person to help us run a clean, organized, efficient shop.WHAT THIS JOB IS
This is a support role, not a mechanic role. You will not be diagnosing or repairing trucks. Your job is to make sure our technicians can do theirs: the shop is clean, the tools are where they belong, our service trucks are ready to roll, and the parts show up when they're needed. If you show up on time, work hard, and take pride in the place, we will teach you the diesel trade. Several of the best technicians in this industry started exactly here. That path is real, but it's earned, and it starts with mastering this job first.WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Keep the shop floor, bays, yard, restrooms, and office clean and organized
- Sweep, mop, take out trash, wipe down work areas, break down and haul off cardboard and boxes
- Hand tools and parts to technicians, retrieve what they need, put tools back where they belong
- Keep our service trucks clean, stocked, and road-ready: washed inside and out, tools and materials secured, fueled and ready to roll first thing in the morning
- Drive company vehicles to pick up parts from local suppliers around Broward and Miami-Dade
- Receive, check in, label, and put away parts deliveries
- Organize the parts room, shelving, and inventory areas
- Move trucks, trailers, and equipment around the yard as directed
- Help load and unload parts, tires, and materials
- Pressure wash, clean up spills, and keep the property looking sharp
- Pitch in wherever the shop needs a hand
WHAT WE REQUIRE
- A valid driver's license is required, no exceptions. You must have a clean driving record and be insurable on our commercial auto policy. We run an MVR before hiring.
- Reliable transportation and a track record of showing up on time, every day
- Able to lift 50 lbs, be on your feet all day, and work in a hot South Florida shop
- Comfortable working around heavy trucks and following safety rules without being reminded
- Good spoken English is required. You will be taking direction from technicians, calling and dealing with parts suppliers over the phone and at the counter, and communicating with our office and customers on the property.
- 18 or older, authorized to work in the
U.S. NICE TO HAVE, NOT REQUIRED
- Any prior shop, warehouse, construction, landscaping, or delivery experience
- Familiarity with Broward and Miami-Dade roads and parts suppliers
- Bilingual English and Spanish
