Parker's Outdoor Equipment is looking for a dependable person to help at our parts counter. This position involves helping customers find parts for lawn mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, and other outdoor power equipment. You will also answer phones, look up parts, receive shipments, stock inventory, and help keep the parts area organized. We are a busy, long-established outdoor equipment shop. The job can be fast-paced, and there will be a lot to learn. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with customers, using a computer, and figuring things out as they go. Responsibilities Help customers at the parts counter Answer phone calls and customer questions Look up parts using online diagrams and manufacturer websites Sell parts and accessories Receive and put away incoming shipments Pull parts for the mechanics Order parts that are not in stock Contact customers when ordered parts arrive Help organize and count inventory Keep the parts counter and shelving reasonably organized Assist with other shop duties when needed Qualifications Dependable and able to maintain regular attendance Friendly and comfortable working with customers Basic computer skills Willing to learn about outdoor power equipment and small engines Able to stay organized while handling several tasks Able to lift boxes and parts weighing up to approximately 50 pounds Previous parts, automotive, equipment, retail, or customer service experience is helpful but not required Knowledge of lawn equipment, small engines, automotive parts, or mechanical equipment is a plus.
