Turano Baking Company is looking for an organized, mechanically minded Maintenance Parts Clerk to support our Maintenance team. When equipment needs repair, having the right part available can make the difference between a quick fix and extended downtime. This position is responsible for maintaining an accurate, organized inventory of maintenance parts, tools, and supplies so our technicians have what they need to keep the bakery running. If you have experience with maintenance parts, MRO inventory, purchasing, or industrial equipment—and you're someone who likes keeping things organized—we'd like to talk. What You'll Do Manage and maintain inventory of maintenance parts, tools, equipment, and supplies Organize and maintain the Maintenance parts room and storage areas Monitor inventory levels and help ensure critical spare parts are available when needed Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies Issue and track parts and tools used by Maintenance personnel Use inventory management systems to track parts, usage, and stock levels Assist Maintenance technicians with identifying and locating required parts Read equipment manuals, diagrams, and technical information to help identify replacement parts Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing, availability, and replacement parts Order parts and supplies as authorized and follow up on outstanding orders Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving to ensure incoming parts are received and routed appropriately Help identify obsolete, damaged, duplicate, or slow-moving inventory Maintain accurate records for parts, tools, purchases, and inventory Assist the Maintenance team with administrative responsibilities as needed Follow all company safety, GMP, food safety, and sanitation requirements What We're Looking For Previous experience with maintenance parts, MRO inventory, industrial parts, purchasing, or inventory control preferred Manufacturing or facility maintenance experience strongly preferred General mechanical knowledge and familiarity with industrial equipment and components Ability to read technical manuals and identify parts and equipment information Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable working with vendors and suppliers Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and email Experience with inventory, CMMS, ERP, or maintenance management software is a plus Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple requests Dependable, proactive, and comfortable working closely with Maintenance technicians and leadership Work Environment This is a hands-on position supporting Maintenance within an active commercial bakery. The role includes both administrative and parts-room responsibilities and requires regular interaction with Maintenance personnel, vendors, Shipping/Receiving, and other departments.
