Full-Time Are you looking to build a rewarding career in the automotive industry with a fast-paced and supportive team? We are hiring a Parts Consultant in Evansville, IN. In this role, you will assist walk-in customers, shop technicians, and telephone callers by accurately identifying, pulling, ordering, and invoicing automotive parts and equipment to keep our service department and dealership operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Assist counter customers, service advisors, and shop technicians in selecting and purchasing the correct automotive parts and accessories. Provide accurate price quotes and technical information over the phone and in person. Look up parts, stock numbers, and pricing using catalog databases and computer systems. Pull purchased parts from inventory and prepare orders for daily shipping, delivery, or pickup. Place special orders for out-of-stock items, track back orders, and notify technicians or customers upon receipt. Process parts invoices, handle returns and credits in accordance with dealership guidelines, and ensure all charges are properly documented and authorized. Perform daily stock replenishment, maintain clean and organized work areas, and participate in periodic inventory counts. Stay current on new product lines, software updates, and participate in available dealership training programs. Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 2+ years of related automotive parts or customer service experience preferred. Basic computer proficiency and strong mathematical skills. General mechanical knowledge and familiarity with automotive components. Outstanding communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills with a strong team-player mindset. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, stay organized, and work weekends or overtime as needed. Ability to regularly stand, walk, and occasionally lift/move up to 75 lbs. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
