Job Description
Responsibilities Maintains production and quality requirements by performing troubleshooting, installation, routine maintenance and repair of mechanical manufacturing equipment. Places daily parts orders. Stocks and posts incoming orders. Assists maintenance manager in processing weekly stock orders. Notifies appropriate parties when special-order parts arrive. Assists maintenance manager with inventory. Compiles stock control reports such as consumption rate and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment. Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock or determine if part can be rebuilt. Assist the maintenance team in keeping accurate inventory and labeling locations to make sure like parts are kept together. Interpret diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Travel to external suppliers to retrieve parts.
