This is not a position for someone who wants to simply wait on the next ticket. We are looking for a high performer who enjoys a fast pace, takes pride in accuracy, understands the importance of urgency, and wants to make a real impact on the success of our service, retail, wholesale, and internal operations. The right person will be a key partner to our technicians and service advisors—helping keep repairs moving, identifying parts correctly, protecting inventory, and delivering the level of service our customers expect. What You'll Own You will handle approximately 750-1,000 repair orders and sales orders combined each month . That requires someone who can stay organized, communicate clearly, solve problems quickly, and follow through from the initial request to final delivery, invoicing, return, or special-order follow-up.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assist internal technicians, service advisors, retail customers, and wholesale customers at the parts counter. Look up and identify Chevrolet/GM parts accurately using electronic catalogs and dealership systems. Pull, stage, invoice, and deliver parts with urgency to keep repair orders moving. Process special orders, backorders, returns, warranty parts, cores, credits, and invoices accurately. Receive, inspect, stock, organize, and maintain parts inventory. Maintain strong bin accuracy, inventory control, cycle counts, and inventory-turn performance. Communicate part availability, ETA changes, and backorder updates clearly and proactively. Help identify missed sales opportunities and contribute to parts sales growth and gross-profit performance. Keep the parts counter, storage areas, and workspaces clean, organized, and professional. Take ownership of issues and bring solutions—not excuses. Compensation & Schedule This is a full-time role with a base salary plus performance-based bonuses . Your bonus opportunity is tied to meaningful performance measures, including: Parts sales and gross-profit results. Inventory accuracy and bin integrity. Inventory turn and obsolete-inventory control. Special-order, return, core, and credit accuracy. Counter productivity, follow-through, and overall department performance. For the right person, annual earnings can exceed $75,000 per year . This is a real opportunity for someone who is competitive, self-motivated, and always looking for ways to improve sales, workflow, efficiency, and customer experience. The schedule is a five-day workweek , with some Saturdays required for dealership coverage. What We're Looking For Automotive dealership parts-counter experience is preferred; GM/Chevrolet experience is a plus. Strong computer skills and confidence learning electronic parts catalogs and dealership systems. Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage a large volume of work. Professional communication skills with technicians, advisors, customers, vendors, and coworkers. Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and a positive, team-first attitude. Ability to lift and move parts, tires, batteries, and inventory as needed. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred. At Marketplace Chevrolet, the parts department is a critical part of getting vehicles repaired correctly and on time. If you are ready to own the counter, perform at a high level, and be rewarded for the results you create, we want to hear from you.
