Outside Parts Salesman

We are growing!! Freightliner-Western Star of Maine is seeking enthusiastic, organized, and hard-working individuals to join our team. Come and join a winning team that extends from Westbrook to Fort Kent. Our Westbrook location has been serving customers for over 20 years. We are looking for a self starting, motivated individual to help our business thrive and expand. Pay will depend on experience.

Responsibilities:

Contacting customers through phone calls and in-person visits as necessary Build and maintain working relationships with customers Prepare and present sales proposals and quotes Represent the company respectfully Restock parts and materials as needed Fill orders from inventory Examine returned goods for credit Billing cash and charge customers Correspond with shipping and receiving regarding deliveries coming in or going out Inspecting, protecting and maintaining company assets, merchandise, vehicles, building Participate in physical inventories

Requirements:

MUST have a good driving record High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis Reliable transportation or planning for relocation before starting Familiar with basic component identification and parts numbers Familiarity with heavy truck or automotive systems (ex. Engines, drive-trains, suspensions, etc.) Ability to read and comprehend written or oral instructions, correspondence and memos Ability to write and clarify information to fellow co-workers and/or customers Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations Parts knowledge is helpful
