Responsibilities Manage parts sourcing and procurement processes to ensure timely availability of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and aftermarket parts for auto body repairs. Maintain accurate inventory management systems, including data entry, parts administration, and inventory control to prevent shortages or overstocking. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules, leveraging supplier management experience to optimize costs. Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and internal communication tools to process orders, update stock levels, and coordinate logistics inventory management. Support warehouse operations by overseeing shipping & receiving activities, forklift operation, and warehouse organization to ensure efficient parts flow. Assist with demand planning by analyzing historical data and forecasting future parts needs to meet repair schedules effectively. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal technicians' requests for parts information and troubleshooting vehicle systems related to auto body repair. Pull, stage and distribute parts for repair orders for technican requests Use automotive diagnostics knowledge to verify part compatibility with vehicle systems during sourcing and order management processes. Track orders, backorders, and special-order parts. Inspect incoming parts for accuracy and damage. Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement management, or parts administration within an automotive or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories along with familiarity with OEM standards and aftermarket options. Hands-on experience with inventory management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Demonstrated ability in negotiation with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms; experience in sourcing parts for auto body repair preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems, auto body repair processes, and automotive diagnostics is highly desirable. Warehouse experience including shipping & receiving procedures; forklift certification is a plus, not required Familiarity with logistics inventory management, demand planning, procurement processes, and ERP systems like CMMS or SAP enhances effectiveness in this role. Excellent internal communication skills for coordinating with team members across departments; strong data entry skills are necessary for accurate record keeping. Customer service orientation with a focus on efficient parts sourcing and problem-solving within a fast-paced environment.
