Job Description

Position Summary:
The Parts Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the service and warehouse operations by managing parts logistics, inventory control, and job preparation processes. Responsibilities include opening service jobs in the system, attaching quote documentation, ordering and receiving parts, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The role also involves assisting the Service Writer with parts research, shipping and receiving duties, warehouse organization, and occasional forklift operation. The Parts Assistant will coordinate deliveries and pickups, track order statuses, expedite delayed shipments, and communicate updates to the Service Writer and Sales Representative. This position ensures that parts are efficiently processed and ready for repair scheduling, contributing to the overall success of service operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Open service jobs in the Automated Service system and attach all relevant quote information. Order parts and assist the Service Writer with parts research when needed. Receive, inspect, and stock inventory items; ensure accurate placement in bin locations. Locate, pull, and prepare parts for scheduled jobs. Deliver and pick up parts, including organizing inventory at off-site locations. Monitor and update bin locations to maintain warehouse organization and efficiency. Prepare and ship parts to customers or field technicians as required. Perform general warehouse maintenance and organization, including occasional forklift operation. Track the status of all parts orders; expedite delayed items or source from alternative suppliers. Inform the Service Writer and Sales Representative of any order delays or fulfillment issues. Coordinate with the warehouse team and notify the dispatcher once parts are received to schedule repair work.
Requirements Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail. Solid knowledge of engine parts and electrical components. General understanding of inventory management systems and processes. Proven ability to effectively source parts and materials. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Have you previously worked in a warehouse or service environment where you were responsible for inventory management, receiving shipments, and preparing parts for jobs? Are you comfortable performing warehouse duties including lifting, organizing inventory, and operating (or learning to operate) equipment such as a forklift?
