A Level Parts Counterperson Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Automotive Parts Advisor to join our team! In this role, you will serve as a vital link between customers, technicians, and the parts inventory, ensuring seamless automotive parts and accessories sales. Your energetic approach will help build strong customer relationships, provide expert advice on vehicle maintenance and repair, and contribute to the overall success of our dealership. Responsibilities Assist customers in selecting the right automotive parts and accessories by understanding their needs and providing expert recommendations. Manage inventory levels efficiently using inventory control systems and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to ensure product availability. Process sales transactions accurately through POS (Point of Sale) systems while maintaining excellent cash handling procedures. Collaborate with service technicians to identify parts required for vehicle repairs and diagnostics, ensuring timely availability. Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, product knowledge, and personalized service to encourage repeat business. Maintain organized stockrooms by stocking, labeling, and rotating parts to optimize accessibility and reduce waste. Skills - Experience with Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram a plus. - Reynolds & Reynolds experience a plus. Deep knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, vehicle systems, and automotive repair processes. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills combined with automotive diagnostics expertise. Proven experience in retail sales environments with excellent customer service capabilities. Effective negotiation skills to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking, inventory control, and record keeping. Strong communication skills paired with phone etiquette for client interactions both in person and over the phone. Knowledge of automotive parts management systems (automotive parts sales software) is preferred. $47,291.00 - $85,996.00 per year
