Job Description
Answer parts telephone calls and wait on walk in customers promptly and courteously Assist customers by researching parts from the manufactures parts manual Prepare parts quotes Enter orders in the computer Coordinate setting up new customers in the computer Ensure customer service by suggested sales to meet the total customer needs Assist mechanics with parts diagrams and identifying parts accurately Post parts to work orders from the parts warehouse and service techs Support the mechanics by processing orders in a timely manner Physically pull parts for customers and assist in putting away stock Understand the computer parts system and how parts are affected by various transactions Ensure orders are processed with current pricing, cost and freight Utilize company inventory to reduce surplus and identify incorrectly ordered parts to be returned Ensure customer part requirements are on order if not in stock Other duties as assigned. Must have a basic knowledge of all equipment sold by Heavy Machines Must be able to use all reference manuals Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle stress associated with dealing with deadlines Excellent customer service skills to include conflict resolution is required Strong computer skills Must be a Team Player Able to assist with special projects as directed by Customer Service Manager High school diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of 2 years experience working in a parts and/or service background Preference given to candidates with a heavy truck parts and service background Forklift experience Valid Drivers License is a plus
