Job Overview Are you passionate about automotive parts and delivering exceptional customer service? We're seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Experience Parts Counter professional to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be the vital link between customers and our extensive inventory of automotive parts. Duties Assist customers in identifying and selecting the right automotive parts and accessories to meet their needs, providing expert advice on vehicle maintenance and repair procedures. Manage inventory control by accurately stocking, organizing, and tracking parts using inventory management systems such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and POS (Point of Sale) software. Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit card payments, and maintaining accurate cash handling records. Negotiate with customers to upsell parts and accessories, ensuring a positive shopping experience while meeting sales targets. Collaborate with the service department to fulfill order requests promptly and accurately, ensuring timely delivery of parts for vehicle repairs or maintenance. Maintain a clean, organized parts counter area to optimize workflow and enhance customer experience. Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge to assist customers with troubleshooting vehicle issues when needed. Communicate effectively with team members across departments using phone etiquette and clear organizational skills to ensure smooth operations. Support marketing initiatives by promoting special offers or new product lines to customers. Keep detailed records of transactions, inventory levels, and customer interactions using Microsoft Excel or similar tools for reporting purposes. Stay updated on automotive repair techniques, dealership procedures, and retail sales strategies to provide knowledgeable support. Requirements Proven experience in automotive parts sales or dealership environments is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, automotive repair, and automotive service procedures. Excellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual abilities are a plus) to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Proficiency with inventory management systems such as
CMMS, POS
software, and Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting. Demonstrated ability in retail math for order fulfillment, stock control, and sales calculations. Exceptional organizational skills to manage stock levels, process orders accurately, and maintain a tidy workspace. Experience with cashiering, cash handling, customer service excellence, and phone etiquette. Familiarity with dealership processes including inventory control, marketing strategies, and retail sales techniques. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Bilingual skills are advantageous for engaging with a broader customer demographic.
