Job Description

Duration:
Immediate start — contract through 6/30/2027
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, onsite 5 days per week, flexible start and finish within business hours of 8:00 am-6:00 pm CST Sponsorship is not available for this role, now or in the future. About the Role Our client, a financial services firm in the St. Louis area, is hiring a Pricing Operations Specialist to support its pricing strategy function — reviewing and processing pricing exception requests, validating eligibility against firm guidelines, and moving a real backlog of cases through to resolution. You'll join a small team of one support specialist and four pricing specialists. Day to day you'll work a Salesforce case queue: research account information, validate the family and household pricing structures behind each request, go back to the branch teams for whatever is missing, and document the decision against established controls. Pricing decisions carry real financial consequences for both the client and the firm, so accuracy is the standard this role is measured on. Alongside the casework you'll support pricing initiatives, enhancements, and process improvement efforts — the team is actively trying to make this workflow faster and more scalable, not just keep up with it. If you want a documented procedure for every case, this is not the role. A real share of these requests do not fit neatly into a script, and the job is exercising judgment on those — interpreting the guideline, deciding the next step, and knowing when to pull in a pricing strategist. Candidates who lean on rigid process flows have struggled in this environment. Financial services experience and FINRA licensing are a genuine advantage here and are not requirements. What is not optional is case-queue discipline — this is high-volume, deadline-driven work with a backlog attached. A Typical Day Open the Salesforce queue and prioritize the cases waiting, research account and eligibility information on each one, reach out to branch teams for missing documentation, carry several cases in parallel through the middle of the day, then close out documenting outcomes and joining a working session on the process improvements in flight. What You'll Do Review, research, and process pricing exception requests submitted by branch teams Validate the information behind each request against established pricing guidelines and eligibility requirements Work with branch teams and internal stakeholders to obtain documentation, clarify requirements, and resolve requests on time Document actions, decisions, and supporting information in line with established controls, policies, and procedures Analyze data and business requirements to support pricing initiatives and operational decision-making Respond to inquiries on pricing processes, requirements, and request status Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, quality, and scalability of pricing workflows Support pricing projects, enhancements, and process improvement initiatives Participate in stakeholder meetings and working sessions supporting pricing initiatives What You Need Associate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Hands-on Salesforce experience as a day-to-day working tool Case management, investigations, or structured review-and-approval experience Demonstrated accuracy on detail-heavy work where an error carries financial consequences Proven ability to prioritize and hold quality in a high-volume, backlog-driven environment Strong critical thinking — able to interpret a guideline and decide next steps on a request that does not fit the documented process Clear, professional written and verbal communication with internal stakeholders Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Teams, and comparable collaboration tools Experience working shared inboxes, workflow tools, or automated business processes Able to work onsite in St. Louis, MO five days per week Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now and in the future Nice to Have Bachelor's degree FINRA licenses — SIE, Series 7 Top-Off, and/or Series 66 Financial services industry experience Experience supporting operations, compliance, legal, or service organizations with complex review and approval processes Knowledge of pricing programs, client fee structures, or financial account administration Experience with Power Automate or a comparable workflow automation tool Experience using Copilot or similar productivity tools to speed up communication and workflow Interview Process A single video interview with the hiring leader. This client moves quickly — interviews are being scheduled for the week of September 28. This is a contract assignment running through 6/30/2027.
