Job Description
Position summary The primary function of a Pricing Specialist is to assure that all costing of products are maintained accurately and updated in the system in a timely and orderly fashion. In addition, the Pricing Specialist's function is to work with Palmer Holland Account Managers, Business Managers, Sales Advocates, Buyers, and Principals to ensure our costing and pricing is following policies established by Palmer Holland and its Principal partners. Essential tasks of the position Review all cost increases from the principal Seek clarification from Business Managers or Supply Chain Manager on inconsistencies Communicate with Business Manager or Supply Chain Manager on path forward Update Purchase Price (cost books) in the system Determine Standard cost-effective dates and update standard cost in the system Maintain accuracy of the price and cost books at the product and product/customer level Include special up-front costs that are customer specific Ensure accuracy of the costing of new products in system Respond to product cost and price requests from internal customers Research and update standard cost upon requests from internal customers Revise Purchase Price Book as needed Ensure relevant documents are maintained and filed appropriately Work effectively with team members and other departments Offer help to other team members when available Perform other tasks assigned at the discretion of manager Education Associate degree preferred Knowledge/Skills Intermediate level of expertise in MS Office and Contact Management Software Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Ability to maintain professional conduct that always exemplifies the corporate policies, particularly when interacting directly with internal and external customers Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion Detail oriented with strong, accurate clerical skills Proficient at multi-tasking Proactive problem solver Highly motivated
