LEAD LOGISTICS PRICING COORDINATOR
. This role serves as a key connection between customers, carriers, operations teams, and external service providers. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. This individual will evaluate transportation requirements, develop competitive pricing, coordinate shipment activity, communicate status updates, and resolve issues throughout the customer lifecycle. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to balance customer expectations with operational and financial considerations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage customer communication regarding domestic trucking inquiries, and requests via phone, email, or other channels while providing resolution to issues promptly and professionally. Review customer requests and transportation requirements to develop accurate and competitive rate proposals. Obtain and compare transportation costs from trucking companies, airlines, carriers, agents, and other logistics providers. Negotiate vendor and carrier rates to support competitive customer pricing and appropriate margins. Provide pricing information to sales, account management, operations, and other internal stakeholders as needed. Support domestic and international quotation requests, including coordination with overseas offices when applicable. Maintain current customer pricing information, preferred service options, routing preferences, and account-specific instructions. Arrange and coordinate domestic transportation services from initial request through delivery. Communicate with carriers, drivers, dispatch personnel, terminals, warehouses, shippers, and other parties involved in shipment execution. Assist with scheduling pickups and deliveries while considering customer deadlines and transportation availability. Monitor active shipments and proactively identify potential delays, service interruptions, or routing concerns. Work with operations and transportation partners to resolve issues and keep shipments moving according to plan. Serve as a reliable point of contact for customers regarding pricing, shipment arrangements, delivery schedules, and transportation-related questions. Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries received by telephone, email, or other communication channels. Provide customers with clear updates regarding shipment progress, changes, delays, and resolutions. Enter and maintain accurate pricing, customer, shipment, and service information within company systems. Keep customer profiles and operating instructions current, including contacts, negotiated rates, routing preferences, and special handling requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in logistics or a related field are a huge plus. At minimum of 3 years of experience in domestic transportation, logistics, or a similar industry. Prior experience in office operations and customer service ideally within transportation or logistics. Strong understanding of domestic trucking operations and terminology, regulations as well as industry standards. Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal-with the ability to effectively engage with customers and cross-functionally collaborate with internal teams. Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with logistics or transportation management systems preferred. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment. Detail-focused with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation. Flexible and adaptable, with availability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed. Reliable team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to exceptional customer service.
