What You'll Do As an Associate Attorney, you will work closely with clients to help them protect their families and plan for the future.
Responsibilities include:
Conduct Life & Legacy Planning Sessions with prospective clients. Design customized estate plans based on each client's goals and circumstances. Review and explain estate planning documents with clients. Advise clients regarding trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health care directives, beneficiary planning, and asset protection. Assist with probate and trust administration matters. Participate in educational seminars, webinars, and community presentations. Collaborate with our experienced legal assistants and client services team to provide an exceptional client experience. Utilize technology and firm systems to maintain efficiency and consistency. Continue learning and developing expertise in estate planning and related practice areas.
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active member in good standing with the Alaska Bar Association, or the ability to become licensed in Alaska in the near future. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. A heart for serving families with empathy and professionalism. Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a team. Willingness to continuously learn and improve. Preferred (but not required): Experience in estate planning, probate, elder law, or trust administration. Public speaking or teaching experience. Interest in building long-term client relationships. Experience using legal technology and practice management software. Travel Our clients live throughout Alaska. While this position is primarily based in our Wasilla office , we periodically travel to communities across the state to make estate planning accessible to families who may not otherwise have local legal services.
