Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Part-Time Leasing Agent at a 134-unit apartment community in Palm Springs, where you will be the welcoming face of the property. This is an in-office position working alongside the Community Manager, combining strong customer service with leasing performance to create a smooth and positive experience for prospective residents and current tenants alike. You will manage daily traffic at the leasing office, convert inquiries into signed leases, and support property operations with energy and professionalism. Duties Greet prospective residents, tenants, and vendors with a friendly, professional demeanor, delivering outstanding customer service at all times Manage incoming phone calls, emails, internet leads, and walk-in traffic, responding to all inquiries the same business day Conduct property tours, present available floor plans, and explain lease terms, community amenities, and qualifying criteria Assist applicants through the rental application and screening process, and process lease agreements, renewals, and related documents accurately in AppFolio Maintain accurate resident files, applications, notices, and leasing documentation in full compliance with Fair Housing and California landlord-tenant law Support occupancy goals by following up consistently with leads, promoting current specials, and assisting with resident retention and renewals Walk vacant and market-ready units, and coordinate with the maintenance team on unit readiness and service requests Assist with online listing updates, marketing outreach, and onsite leasing and resident events Track daily traffic, leads, applications, and closing ratios, and report weekly leasing activity to the Community Manager Resolve resident concerns professionally, applying sound judgment and conflict resolution skills within Fair Housing guidelines Qualifications One or more years of experience in apartment leasing, property management, sales, hospitality, or customer service Working knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and California landlord-tenant law, or a willingness to be trained Familiarity with property management software such as AppFolio, Yardi, OneSite, or a similar platform Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the confidence to ask for the application and follow up until you get an answer Office skills including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and document management Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities during high-traffic periods Reliable availability on a set weekly schedule, including Saturdays — weekend traffic is when the majority of leases are signed Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred Experience with Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) processing is a plus Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and ability to pass a background check This role puts you at the center of community operations, delivering excellent service while helping keep the property full and running smoothly. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
