Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing property leasing processes, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to prospective tenants. This position requires strong communication skills, negotiation abilities, and a thorough understanding of property management practices. Duties Assist potential tenants in the leasing process by providing information about available properties and amenities. Conduct property tours and showcase units to prospective renters. Manage lease agreements, ensuring compliance with landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations. Utilize property management software. Handle inquiries via phone and email with excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills. Maintain accurate records of tenant applications, contracts, and lease renewals. Collaborate with the property maintenance team to address tenant concerns and ensure properties are well-maintained. Upsell additional services or amenities to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention. Engage in conflict management to resolve tenant issues effectively while maintaining positive relationships. Requirements Previous experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is preferred. Knowledge of California landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations is essential. Strong sales skills with a proven ability to negotiate contracts effectively. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with tenants. Proficiency in data entry and administrative tasks AppFolio Experience Preffered Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Strong conflict management skills to handle tenant disputes professionally. A background in facilities management is advantageous but not required.
