Reid and Riege, P.C., a mid-sized law firm with offices in Hartford and New Haven, seeks a Legal Administrative Assistant for its New Haven office. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of experience in a law firm setting; a background in estate planning, estate settlement, and trust administration is a strong plus. This role calls for exceptional organizational skills and the ability to provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, paralegals, and clients. Primary Duties Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, including call screening, meeting coordination, light reception, and general office support. Handle confidential client information in a professional and trustworthy manner. Multi-task in an evolving environment with minimal supervision, remaining flexible and managing changing priorities as they arise.
Requirements:
3+ years of administrative experience in a law firm setting. Outstanding proofreading and follow-up skills; a detail-oriented self-starter able to work independently, meet time-sensitive deadlines, and prioritize effectively. Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, and document management and time-entry systems. A strong willingness to learn and the ability to interpret and follow instructions quickly and efficiently. A collaborative team player with a patient, compassionate orientation toward client service.
