As a Corporate Real Estate Services Specialist / Senior Associate , you will work in the Corporate Real Estate Group (ACR), which is part of the Budget and Administrative Services Department within the Vice Presidency for Finance and Administration. This team is responsible for managing the IDB Group's corporate facilities comprised of three office buildings in downtown Washington, D.C., a Records Center facility in Ashburn, Virginia, a Special Representation office in Miami, Florida, 26 Country Offices in Latin America and the Caribbean, 2 offices in Europe, and 1 in Asia totaling approximately 2.3 million square feet. This position reports to the Head of ACR and interacts regularly with colleagues within the division and Senior Management. The candidate is responsible for leading and coordinating a team of project managers, technical specialists, and external vendors as appropriate. Space Planning and Management:

Lead HQ space planning, inventory, utilization analysis, and data reporting; assess client needs, develop solutions, and ensure compliance with workplace standards.

Team Leadership:

Direct project managers, technical specialists, support personnel, and vendors; provide clear guidance and feedback while fostering trust, collaboration, and high performance.

Work Program Management:

Oversee construction, relocations, and space management activities, ensuring alignment with group, department, and institutional priorities.

Project and Construction Management:

Lead HQ projects from scope development and test-fits through design, construction, and post-occupancy, controlling schedules, budgets, quality, value engineering, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Standards and Sustainability:

Ensure projects comply with applicable building and design codes, ADA design codes, recognized best practices, and LEED and WELL standards, as required.

Real Estate Strategy and Advisory:

Apply the Corporate Real Estate Approach at HQ, support the multi-year Capital Construction Program, conduct research and peer reviews, and advise overseas facilities when needed.

Stakeholder Engagement and Improvement:

Prepare executive space-strategy reports and presentations, collaborate with internal partners, and improve tools and methodologies to strengthen project and team performance. What you'll need

Education :

A Master's degree or equivalent in Architecture. In lieu of Master's Degree, a Bachelor's degree in Architecture will be considered. Additonal training or certification in agile, facilities, or project management is highly desirable.

Experience :

For Master's degree 4 years and for Bachelor's degree 6 years, of progressive experience is required. Experience should span architectural design, commercial construction or renovation, facilities operations, space planning, and project or program management. Corporate real estate experience is preferred.

Technical Knowledge:

Demonstrate strong knowledge of building systems, furnishings, fixtures, equipment, budgeting, contract administration, feasibility studies, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.

Communication and Relationship Management:

Communicate clearly and persuasively in writing, orally, through presentations, while building effective relationships with clients and service providers.

Additional Qualifications:

Apply familiarity with workplace design in U.S. customary units and with IBC, LEED, WELL, and ADA standards. Experience managing concurrent projects and supporting organizational change is desirable.

Languages :

Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant professional experience may be considered in accordance with the Institution's assessment.
