We are a small, but progressive, family-owned company looking for an eager person who wants to advance their career through hard work and excellent customer service. Real estate/banking/mortgage experience is a plus, but not required of the right candidate. Salary is commensurate with experience and knowledge. This position requires reliability; good communication skills; good organizational skills; multi-tasking; problem solving; be detail oriented; and be able to work with little to no supervision. You must submit to a typing test; a drug-test; and background check. You must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Send resume' with references. Please no walk-ins or phone calls. Job Summary The Escrow Officer position performs advanced duties related to all facets of escrow processing. E.O. is required to exercise extreme independent judgment and to possess the knowledge and experience necessary to efficiently handle any situation that may arise during the escrow process. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manages all escrow files of the escrow unit
  • Processes escrows
  • Maintains accurate and updated tax collector, homeowner's association, and condominium association information
  • Orders all documents needed to close each escrow in a timely manner (i.e., payoffs/demands, loan documents, and insurance)
  • Completes general warranty deeds, quitclaim deeds, notes, mortgages, requests for notice, subordination agreements, financing statements, and the like
  • Works with the title department in resolving issues (e.g., legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, federal tax liens, abstracts of judgment, bankruptcies, boundary disputes, and encroachments)
  • Reviews title commitment for mortgages, judgments, etc. and distribute to appropriate parties, upon receipt of title report
  • Follows up on outstanding lender conditions
  • Coordinates and schedules settlement date, time and place
  • Gathers all closing costs, and prepares/sends estimated Settlement Statement, if required
  • Sends settlement notices to all parties, as applicable
  • Requests escrow check from agent
  • Reviews file in preparation of closing and produce conveyancing cover sheet
  • Follows company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelines
  • Returns all calls, voicemails, and emails in a timely manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Understands escrow standards, title clearance, real estate regulations and guidelines, and document preparation
  • Comprehends pay off per diems, tax prorations, interest, and the like
