Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Leasing Agent is responsible for driving occupancy through the effective leasing of apartments, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting community operations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to administrative detail, teamwork, and a professional demeanor in all interactions with prospects, residents, and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Leasing & Sales Performance Actively lease apartments and close sales with prospective residents. Meet or exceed occupancy and leasing goals. Conduct property tours and highlight community features. Customer Service & Resident Relations Maintain professionalism and responsiveness when interacting with residents and prospects. Resolve resident concerns and contribute to high resident satisfaction and retention. Communication Skills Communicate clearly and professionally in both verbal and written formats. Promptly respond to phone, email, and walk-in inquiries. Keep detailed notes on all communications. Knowledge of Policies & Procedures Apply knowledge of Fair Housing laws, leasing policies, and company procedures. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Administrative Accuracy Complete lease paperwork, applications, and reports accurately and on time. Maintain records and data entry with precision. Teamwork & Dependability Collaborate effectively with peers, management, and service teams. Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality. Support overall property goals and initiatives. Initiative & Professional Development Show motivation and take proactive steps to improve performance. Engage in training opportunities and seek personal and professional growth. Appearance & Presentation Maintain a professional appearance following company standards. Ensure the property is clean, welcoming, and well-presented at all times. Marketing Support Participate in outreach and social media campaigns. Contribute to marketing efforts that promote the property and attract traffic.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred. Previous experience in leasing, sales, or customer service strongly preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with property management software and the Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing regulations.
Working Conditions:
• Regularly required to walk the property, conduct tours, and perform tasks both indoors and outdoors.• May involve weekend work and flexible scheduling.
