In person Job Description Garden Communities, a large and well-established real estate development and property management company, is seeking an experienced, professional, and customer-focused Leasing Agent for Gardens at Roseland, a residential apartment community in Roseland, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of residential apartment leasing experience, hands-on experience using Yardi, and a strong understanding of the complete leasing process. We are looking for someone who can confidently conduct property tours, build relationships with prospective residents, maintain consistent follow-up, accurately complete leasing documentation, and provide exceptional customer service. Familiarity with Roseland and the surrounding area is strongly preferred, as prospective residents frequently ask about local shopping, dining, transportation, schools, and other nearby services and amenities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leasing professional who is polished, dependable, highly organized, and committed to creating a positive experience for prospective and current residents. Responsibilities Manage the leasing process from the initial inquiry through application, approval, lease execution, and move-in Respond promptly and professionally to telephone, email, online, and in-person inquiries Conduct apartment and property tours and present available apartments, community features, and amenities Provide prospective residents with helpful information about Roseland and the surrounding area Build strong relationships with prospective residents and maintain consistent follow-up Convert qualified prospects into residents and support established leasing and occupancy goals Maintain accurate and detailed prospect, application, leasing, and resident records in Yardi Process rental applications, supporting documentation, and lease paperwork Prepare lease agreements, renewals, notices, and other resident documentation Maintain current knowledge of apartment availability, pricing, concessions, and upcoming vacancies Coordinate move-ins and ensure apartments and required documentation are ready Respond professionally to resident questions and concerns and support resident retention efforts Coordinate closely with property management and maintenance regarding apartment readiness and move-in dates Assist with marketing initiatives, community outreach, resident communications, and events Maintain a polished, organized, and welcoming leasing office Ensure compliance with Fair Housing requirements, company policies, and all applicable regulations Perform additional duties as needed to support property operations Qualifications At least one year of residential apartment leasing experience required At least one year of hands-on Yardi experience required Strong understanding of the complete leasing process, including prospect follow-up, applications, approvals, lease preparation, renewals, and move-ins Demonstrated ability to conduct effective tours, follow up consistently, and close leases Excellent customer service, sales, and relationship-building skills Polished and professional verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through Ability to manage multiple prospects, applications, deadlines, and priorities Familiarity with Roseland and the surrounding area strongly preferred Knowledge of Fair Housing requirements Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be an experienced leasing professional who understands that strong leasing results require more than conducting apartment tours.
