full-time Douglas Elliman Property Management is New York's premiere residential management company with over 400 buildings. Our clients include some of the most prestigious buildings in the City. Douglas Elliman has over 100 years' experience in managing cooperative and condominium buildings with expertise in all facets of building management.
Position Overview:
The Transfer Agent is responsible for the sales/leases/transfer/lease renewals in co-op/condo buildings which duties include processing of application from start to finish and preparing closing documents. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Review and process Board application packages from initial submission to approval Daily communications with Board members, applicants, attorneys and brokers Monthly reporting to Boards regarding sale and lease activity in the buildings Collection and submission of fees due during processing/closing (maintenance, flip tax, etc.) Schedule Board interviews of applicants Preparation of miscellaneous closing documents including but not limited to: Stock, Leases, affidavits, guarantees, escrow agreements, assignment, etc.
Qualifications:
2+ years of related co-op/condo experience reviewing Board application packages Familiarity with co-op sales/sublets, condo sales/leases, refinance, trusts and non-sale transfers Must be able to multitask and handle high volume of applications Excellent knowledge of MS Office especially Word and Excel Strong verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail is a must
