POST CLOSER
HomeSale Settlement Services Lancaster, PA Role Overview The Post Closer is responsible for finalizing real estate transactions after closing, ensuring all funds are accurately disbursed, documentation is properly recorded, and compliance standards are met. This role involves high attention to detail, organizational accuracy, and timely communication with lenders, agents, clients, and internal staff. The Post Closer also supports regulatory compliance by managing 1099-S and escheat reporting.
What You'll Do Day-to-Day Financial Management:
Reconcile escrow balances post-closing; Execute all incoming and outgoing wire transfers, payoffs, and disbursements while performing daily balancing of recording accounts to ensure zero-sum accuracy
Recording & Logistics :
Coordinate the timely recording of deeds and mortgages with county offices; Manage the shipping of lender packages and the distribution of final title policies
Document Preparation :
Assist in processing deeds and other legal instruments; Issue short-form policies for lenders as required
Compliance & Reporting :
Maintain accurate 1099-S reporting for IRS submissions and manage the escheatment process for unclaimed funds
Administrative Excellence :
Provide high-level client support via phone and email; Ensure all files are digitally archived and meet internal and regulatory audit standards What You'll Bring to the Table 1-3 years of experience in real estate settlement, title services, mortgage, or related administrative support roles preferred Experience with title software systems and working in a deadline-driven office environment is beneficial. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace. Familiarity with title and settlement software systems. Ability to read and interpret legal documents such as deeds and title policies.
Pay:
$42,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
