Job Description

Job Overview Real Estate Closing Agent SoDak Title is looking to expand our Rapid City team with the addition of a Real Estate Closing Agent. The right candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while collaborating closely with a great team. This position plays an important role in guiding real estate transactions from preparation through closing and providing exceptional service to buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, attorneys, and other parties involved in the transaction. We're looking for someone who is organized, professional, adaptable, and has strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Communicate with real estate agents, lenders, attorneys, buyers, sellers, and other parties regarding closing details. Prepare settlement statements, closing documents, and other documentation necessary to complete real estate closings. Order and review documents needed for closing, including payoffs, loan documents, deeds, invoices, and other required items. Work closely with the title department to resolve title-related matters such as legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, liens, and other requirements. Conduct closings with buyers and sellers in a professional and customer-focused manner. Coordinate post-closing disbursement of funds and document processing. Complete other pre-closing and post-closing responsibilities as needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Must be a Notary Public or be eligible to obtain a South Dakota Notary Commission. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and accurate keyboarding/data entry. Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive service attitude. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing deadlines and transaction requirements. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Previous experience in real estate, title and escrow, banking, mortgage lending, or a related field is preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates with strong transferable skills.
