Overview SmithCo Group is an Independent Operator for Avis Budget Group, representing two of the most recognized brands in the vehicle rental industry. We are seeking a dependable, professional and customer-focused Customer Service Associate / Rental Counter Agent to join our Bloomington location. This position requires someone who is comfortable working independently and can effectively manage the rental counter without direct supervision for portions of the workday . You must be able to stay productive, follow established procedures, make sound day-to-day decisions and provide excellent customer service without requiring constant direction. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, remains professional when situations become challenging and understands that excellent customer service and strong sales performance go hand in hand. In addition to hourly pay, this position offers commission and monthly performance bonus opportunities , giving motivated team members the ability to increase their earnings based on performance. A valid driver's license is required for this position. What You'll Do Assist customers with rentals, returns and reservations Provide friendly, professional customer service in person and by phone Recommend optional products, protection plans and vehicle upgrades Process rental agreements and customer payments Check vehicles in and out and help keep the rental fleet organized Manage daily counter responsibilities independently when working alone Maintain accurate records and follow established company procedures Help keep the counter and customer areas clean, organized and welcoming What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual Comfortable working independently with limited supervision Friendly, professional and customer-focused Professional appearance and grooming Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility Comfortable talking with customers and recommending products and services Able to stay calm and professional when handling customer concerns Basic computer skills Customer service, retail, hospitality or sales experience is a plus Commission & Monthly Bonus Opportunities Part-time, approximately 30 hours per week Weekday and weekend availability required Opportunity for continued growth based on performance Why Join Us?
