Job Description

Summary The Rental Coordinator supports Rental Sales Specialists across a designated area of responsibility with administrative aspects of the construction equipment rental process. In this role you will be responsible for locating assets to complete rental requests, initiating rental quotes, coordinating logistics to move rental assets and ensuring that all rental processes are completed to begin rent and finalize rental contracts once equipment is returned to Murphy Tractor. Essential Functions Build rental quotes based upon input from Rental Sales Specialists. Ensure processes are followed to begin rentals, initiate billing and finalize rentals once rental term is completed. Locate rental units to fill rental contracts, coordinate logistics to move units for rentals. Ensure customer forms of payment are verified. Assist with account setup. Coordinate with Setup Technicians to ensure rental check outs are completed prior to equipment leaving the lot for rent and rental check ins are completed upon completion of the rental. Load rental contracts into the business system to prepare for billing. Close rental contracts upon rental completion. Coordinate with service departments for timely processing of rental inspections for repairs and potential customer billing. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Manage time effectively, prioritize and multitask to respond quickly to rental requests and ensure important processes are complete. Ability to learn and use multiple business systems and tools to support rental operations. Effectively communicate across multiple locations and functional areas. Strong attention to detail to ensure rental contracts are accurate and all rental process steps are followed. Physical Requirements and Work Schedule Employee must be able to drive to different locations within assigned area of responsibility. Travel will be less than 10% of work time on average. Education/Work Experience High School diploma or GED required. Two year degree and related work experience in equipment rental or at an equipment dealership preferred.
