This position is a mix of rental counter work, computer work, and hands-on shop work . The ideal candidate is comfortable working with customers, learning rental software, operating equipment, and helping wherever needed to keep the rental operation running smoothly. This is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys equipment and wants to learn multiple sides of the equipment rental business. Primary ResponsibilitiesRental Counter & Customer Service Assist customers with equipment rentals and returns. Enter and update rental orders in Renterra . Answer phones and assist customers with equipment questions. Help customers determine the correct equipment or attachment for their job. Check equipment in and out accurately. Collect and verify customer and rental information. Communicate professionally with contractors, homeowners, and other customers. Rental Operations Help prepare rental orders for customer pickup and delivery. Make sure the correct equipment, attachments, buckets, hoses, trailers, and accessories are included with each order. Assist with scheduling and organizing upcoming rentals. Help keep track of equipment availability and rental status. Coordinate with other employees regarding deliveries, pickups, and equipment readiness. Learn RBR's rental inventory and become familiar with the operation of each machine. Equipment & Shop Support Inspect equipment when it returns from rental. Check equipment for damage or maintenance issues. Grease, fuel, clean, and prepare equipment when needed. Perform basic repairs and maintenance. Assist mechanics with repairs when needed. Help diagnose basic equipment problems. Install or change attachments and buckets. Keep the shop, yard, and rental equipment organized. Parts & Warranty Support Assist with looking up and ordering equipment parts. Help track parts needed for repairs. Assist with warranty claims and documentation. Learn manufacturer warranty procedures. Work closely with management and other employees to make sure repairs are completed and documented. Equipment You May Work Around Our rental fleet includes equipment such as: Mini excavators Skid steers and compact track loaders Mini skid steers Dump trailers Equipment trailers Trenchers Stump grinders Compaction equipment Mowers Concrete and construction equipment Various attachments and small equipment Previous equipment experience is helpful but not required if you are willing to learn .
