When customers contact us, they work directly with our local team rather than an outsourced call center. We value professionalism, accountability, attention to detail, and doing what we tell customers we will do. About the Position We are seeking a capable and highly organized professional to manage customer accounts throughout the portable storage rental process. This position combines account management, inbound sales, customer service, billing, collections, scheduling coordination, and operational support. You will work with customers from their initial inquiry and reservation through delivery, ongoing rental, payment collection, service requests, and final container pickup. The successful candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of customer accounts, making decisions within established guidelines, handling difficult conversations professionally, and ensuring that important details and follow-up responsibilities are not overlooked. Responsibilities Customer Accounts and Service Manage customer accounts throughout the complete rental process. Serve as a primary point of contact for customer questions, account changes, billing concerns, service requests, and problems. Respond promptly and professionally to telephone calls, emails, text messages, web quotes, and online inquiries. Explain rental terms, company policies, pricing, delivery procedures, and available storage options. Resolve customer concerns while balancing customer service with the consistent enforcement of company policies. Maintain detailed and accurate notes regarding customer conversations, decisions, and commitments. Inside Sales and Lead Follow-Up Provide accurate quotes and help customers select the appropriate portable storage solution. Convert inbound inquiries into reservations using a professional and consultative approach. Follow up consistently with qualified leads and pending reservations. Ask for the reservation and clearly explain the value of our services. Identify additional services or rental options that may benefit the customer. Request customer reviews after successful service experiences. Billing and Collections Process customer payments, invoices, credits, and account updates accurately. Contact customers regarding declined payments and past-due balances. Conduct professional, persistent collection follow-up while working to preserve the customer relationship. Document payment commitments and arrangements clearly. Escalate seriously delinquent or disputed accounts when appropriate. Ensure billing and account records remain accurate and current. Scheduling and Operations Coordination Coordinate container deliveries, pickups, relocations, re-deliveries, and service requests. Confirm that customer orders contain complete and accurate information before they are scheduled. Communicate with drivers and operations personnel regarding customer needs, schedule changes, and special instructions. Help confirm upcoming schedules and resolve issues that could interfere with successful service. Maintain accurate internal records, trackers, and daily activity information. Work closely with the operations team to ensure customers receive timely and dependable service. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; any major will be considered. Previous professional experience in customer service, inside sales, account management, collections, banking, insurance, property management, hospitality, logistics, or office operations is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable discussing pricing, requesting payment, and handling difficult customer conversations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Able to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and follow-up responsibilities simultaneously. Comfortable working with CRM, payment-processing, telephone, scheduling, and business-management systems. Able to learn new software and operating procedures quickly. Professional judgment and the ability to solve routine problems independently. Dependable, accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced small-business environment. Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM software is helpful but not required. What Success Looks Like A successful
