Vendor/Return Compliance Coordinator

Job Description

Description:
Serves as a primary administrative point of contact for assigned vendors, maintaining vendor documentation, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements and supporting the administrative functions necessary to maintain an organized lumberyard. Monitor Vendor Compliance with company receiving, delivery, packaging, labeling, and documentation requirements. Communicate discrepancies to vendors, internal purchasing personnel, accounting department. Coordinate the complete return process from identification through vendor resolution. Create and maintain return authorizations, return records, and supporting documentation. Coordinate with vendors regarding pickup, replacement, repair, disposal, or credit. Responsible for managing the complete customer return process, from the initial request through inspection, disposition, documentation, inventory adjustment, and final resolution, while providing day to day leadership and supervision to a team of material handlers... Verify customer information, sales orders, invoices, products, quantities, and original purchase information. Coordinate inspection of returned materials with appropriate personnel. Escalate complex, disputed, or high value returns to management when appropriate. This position operates in a combination of office, receiving, and lumberyard environments.
Requirements:
EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Highschool diploma or GED strongly preferred Experience with receiving or inventory management Experience with ERP systems Knowledge of lumber, millwork, roofing, siding, windows, doors, hardware, and other building materials Experience processing purchase orders Experience with transportation or logistics operations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds individually or up to 100 pounds with a partner Ability to stand and/or walk on hard surfaces for long periods of time
