Role:
The Budtender greets and welcomes patients, helps patients with product selections, adheres to policies and procedures, and ensures a wonderful patient experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides a wonderful experience for the patient. Advises patients on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis. Keepes abreast of new cannabis products on the market as well as the latest industry trends. Processes patients' payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system. Ensures that the store is always clean and well-organized. Educates patients on the safe use of their selected cannabis product. Correctly weighs, packages, and labels cannabis products, as required. Checks patient's identification documents to verify that they are of legal age and hold the necessary credentials needed to enter the dispensary and purchase product. Takes inventory of cannabis products and ensures that the sales floor is adequately stocked. Ensures that assigned opening and closing tasks are completed. Maintains compliance by following the proper policies and procedures set by the company and the state. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Education:
High school diploma or GED Proven experience working as a Budtender is preferred but not required. Ability to pass a background check and receive a facility agent card from the state. Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits. Outstanding organizational skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and customer service skills. Work well with other team members.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space. Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times. We are committed to building a diverse team and an inclusive environment for all.
