This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and assisting customers with product selections. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and experience in retail sales environments such as grocery stores or specialty shops. Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve diverse customer needs. Responsibilities Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with integrity and accuracy Upsell products and suggest additional items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is clean and inviting Assist in inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory checks Communicate effectively with customers and team members using phone etiquette and clear communication skills Support supervising staff with daily operations as needed, including supervising or mentoring new team members Qualifications Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred Knowledge of POS systems and cashiering procedures Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and retail math tasks Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving a diverse customer base Experience in product demos, merchandising, stocking, or upselling is a plus Excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette Supervising experience is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn leadership skills is valued Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
