The job Buy, sell, and pawn merchandise across all categories Test and appraise jewelry, electronics, tools, firearms, and collectibles to verify authenticity, condition, and value Explain loan terms, interest, and redemption clearly so customers know exactly what they signed Negotiate offers within company guidelines Handle every transaction discreetly. People do not want their business shared Complete firearm transfers and all required paperwork Stay current on what items are actually selling for List merchandise on Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, and Craigslist with accurate photos, descriptions, and pricing Merchandise the store, manage inventory, and improve flow Keep loan tickets and required records accurate, and follow all pawn regulations and company policy What it takes Strong communication. You explain loan terms, interest, and value all day, and people need to walk away actually understanding it Sociable. You build rapport fast with customers from all kinds of backgrounds Confident without the ego. You can be direct with people and stay easy to deal with Negotiates comfortably Adapts fast. The approach that works on one customer will not work on the next, and a busy counter does not rattle you Critical thinking. Not every deal fits a rule, and you will have to make the call Attention to detail. Loan tickets, transfer forms, and records have to be accurate Willing to learn High integrity, no exceptions High school diploma or equivalent Able to pass a background check Preferred Jewelry experience. Retail jewelry, repair, appraisal, or buying.
