We offer engagement rings, custom jewelry, luxury pieces, and a carefully selected collection of diamonds and gemstones. Our on-site shop provides jewelry repairs, restorations, remounts, and custom design services. We are a close-knit team known for knowledgeable guidance, personal service, and long-term customer relationships. Job Summary We are looking for an experienced jewelry sales associate who enjoys helping customers and making them feel comfortable and confident in their decisions. The ideal candidate will have jewelry sales experience, a working knowledge of diamonds and gemstones, excellent customer service skills, and comfort using computers and Point of Sale systems. Experience with jewelry repairs and custom design is helpful but not required—we are happy to provide training in these areas. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Bethel store. Responsibilities Welcome customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance. Help customers select fine jewelry, diamonds, gemstones, engagement rings, and wedding jewelry. Ask thoughtful questions and make recommendations based on each customer's style, needs, and budget. Explain jewelry features, quality, care, and pricing in a clear and comfortable way. Conduct diamond presentations and guide customers through their available options. Receive jewelry repairs, document customer concerns, and explain the service process. Training will be provided. Assist customers with custom jewelry, remounts, and redesign projects. Training will be provided. Process sales, payments, repairs, and special orders using the Point of Sale system. Maintain accurate customer, sales, and service records. Follow up with customers regarding purchases, repairs, and special orders. Answer phone calls and assist with customer questions. Help maintain an organized, secure, and attractive showroom. Assist with merchandise displays, inventory counts, and product organization. Build lasting customer relationships through honesty, attentiveness, and excellent service. Qualifications Previous jewelry sales experience is required. Working knowledge of fine jewelry, diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. A friendly, patient, and professional approach. Strong listening skills and the ability to explain jewelry information clearly. Comfort using computers and Point of Sale systems; experience with The Edge is a plus. Careful and trustworthy when handling jewelry, repairs, payments, and other high-value items. Organized, dependable, and attentive to detail. Repair-intake or custom-design experience is helpful but not required. Willingness to learn Quality Gem's repair, custom-design, and service procedures. Ability to stand for extended periods. Availability to work Saturdays and extended hours during December as needed. We are looking for someone with a solid jewelry background, strong sales and customer service skills, and a genuine interest in learning and growing with our team.
