We're looking for an experienced Optical Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in eyewear sales and can guide customers through selecting the right frames, lenses, and lens upgrades to fit their prescription, lifestyle, and budget. Bilingual English/Spanish communication is required to serve our diverse customer base. Responsibilities Greet and assist customers in selecting eyeglass frames that fit their face shape, style preference, and prescription needs Recommend appropriate lens types and upgrades (anti-reflective coating, blue light filtering, transitions/photochromic, high-index, polarized, progressive vs. bifocal, etc.) Take accurate facial and frame measurements (pupillary distance, segment height, frame width, bridge fit, etc.) Explain pricing, insurance coverage, and payment/financing options clearly Verify prescriptions and coordinate with the lab/optometrist as needed Adjust and fit finished eyewear for comfort and proper alignment Maintain accurate customer records and process orders using in-store software Keep the sales floor and displays organized and presentable Meet or exceed individual and store sales goals Provide excellent customer service and follow up with customers on order status Requirements Previous experience in optical retail, optometry office, or similar sales environment required Preferred Qualities Detail-oriented and patient with customers Sales-driven with a consultative approach Team player who thrives in a fast-paced retail settingt customer service and follow up with customers on order status Knowledge of frame styles, lens materials, and available lens upgrades/coatings Ability to take precise optical measurements Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) Strong communication and customer service skills Basic math skills for handling transactions and insurance calculations Comfortable using point-of-sale and optical management software

Pay:

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
