Job Description
Overview Overview The Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional is an integral member of the Golf Professional Staff and supports the daily operations of the Golf Department during The Fountains Country Club's peak season. This hands-on position requires a motivated, professional, and member-focused PGA Member who demonstrates initiative, dependability, flexibility, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will assist with golf shop operations, tournaments, member events, practice facilities, outside operations, teaching, playing golf with members, and other areas of the golf operation as needed. Experience Required Qualifications PGA Member in good standing. Private club or golf operation experience preferred. Knowledge of tournament operations and the Rules of Golf. Strong communication, organization, and member-service skills. Professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for a private club. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work effectively as part of a team. Demonstrated initiative, dependability, attention to detail, and follow-through. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with members and guests. Ability to remain professional and composed in a fast-paced environment. Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, and extended hours during the season. Ability to adjust to changing operational needs, weather conditions, tournament schedules, and member demands. Work and Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform the physical responsibilities associated with daily golf operations. Ability to lift, carry, move, and organize golf shop and tournament materials as required. Ability to assist with tournament setup and breakdown.
