Job Description:

Muria Foods is looking for reliable, energetic, hospitality-minded, and sales-forward people to join our seasonal retail and events team in South Florida. This role will primarily support our shop at Yellow Green Farmers Market , along with select markets, tastings, events, and pop-ups throughout the South Florida area. Weekend availability is required. Additional weekday availability for events, pop-ups, prep, and special activations is strongly preferred. We're looking for people who genuinely enjoy talking to customers, creating a welcoming experience, and introducing people to great food. This is a hands-on role where you'll be equally comfortable offering a sample, telling the story behind a product, making a sale, merchandising a display, and jumping in wherever needed to keep the market or event running smoothly. Above all, reliability matters. Our markets and events depend on team members showing up on time, prepared, and ready to create a great customer experience. What You'll Do Welcome customers and create a warm, engaging hospitality experience Proactively introduce customers to Muria Foods products through sampling, conversation, and product education Drive sales through thoughtful recommendations, product pairings, cross-selling, and upselling Learn our products and confidently communicate flavors, uses, and pairing ideas Process customer purchases and operate our point-of-sale system Set up, merchandise, restock, and maintain attractive product displays Assist with opening, closing, packing, setup, and breakdown at markets and events Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe selling environment Represent Muria Foods at Yellow Green Farmers Market and select Miami-area events, pop-ups, tastings, and activations Help turn first-time shoppers into repeat customers through memorable service and genuine hospitality What We're Looking For Consistent Saturday and Sunday availability is required Reliable, punctual, and dependable Additional weekday availability is strongly preferred Friendly, approachable, outgoing, and naturally hospitable Sales-forward and comfortable initiating conversations with customers Comfortable recommending products, upselling, and asking for the sale Able to work independently and as part of a small team Comfortable standing for extended periods of time Able to safely lift and carry up to 25 lbs Comfortable working in busy market, retail, and event environments Genuine interest in specialty food, culinary experiences, hospitality, retail, or emerging consumer brands Preferred, But Not Required Previous experience in specialty retail, restaurants, hospitality, farmers markets, food & beverage, events, or customer-facing sales Bilingual English/Spanish Familiarity with cheese, charcuterie, specialty foods, entertaining, or culinary products Experience using POS systems and handling retail transactions Compensation & Perks $18/hour Seasonal performance bonuses for hitting team sales targets Employee discount on Muria Foods products Muria Foods team merch Product tastings and specialty food education Opportunities to work special events, pop-ups, tastings, and brand activations throughout Miami Opportunities for additional shifts and expanded responsibilities Opportunity to grow with Muria Foods - strong seasonal team members may be considered for ongoing, lead, or expanded roles as the business grows Hands-on experience across specialty retail, hospitality, events, merchandising, and sales About Muria Foods Muria Foods is a South Florida specialty food brand creating bold, modern products designed for gathering, entertaining, and everyday eating.
