Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Shop Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, assisting with retail sales, and maintaining a welcoming store environment. As a Shop Associate, you will engage with customers, manage transactions, and contribute to the overall success of our grocery store. Duties Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their shopping needs. Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash and card transactions accurately. Maintain knowledge of products available in the store to effectively assist customers and provide product demonstrations when necessary. Supervise junior staff members as needed, ensuring all team members adhere to store policies and procedures. Assist in stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store is clean and well-maintained. Utilize basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management. Communicate effectively with customers and team members to foster a positive shopping experience. Sell promotional items and encourage customer engagement through product demos. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse customer base. Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory tasks. Experience operating cash registers is a plus.
