We provide specialty construction products and installation services for K-12 schools, universities, municipalities, parks and recreation departments, athletic facilities, general contractors, and commercial construction projects. This is a sales position for someone who can find opportunities, build relationships, follow projects from early planning through award, and close business. What You'll Do Develop and grow a sales territory throughout Alabama Build relationships with general contractors, architects, school systems, universities, municipalities, parks and recreation departments, facility directors, and other decision-makers Identify upcoming construction and renovation projects Find opportunities during planning, budgeting, design, and preconstruction—before they reach the bid stage Prospect for new customers and develop existing accounts Conduct outbound calls, emails, meetings, and jobsite/customer visits Track projects from early planning through bidding and contract award Obtain plans, specifications, bid information, and project contacts Work with estimating to develop proposals and pricing Follow up consistently on outstanding quotations and proposals Negotiate opportunities and help drive projects toward award Develop relationships with architects and other design professionals Identify opportunities to influence product selection and specifications Track competitors and bid results Maintain an accurate pipeline, activities, contacts, and follow-up dates in the company's CRM Develop forecasts and communicate expected sales Participate in regular sales and pipeline meetings Meet or exceed established sales and profitability goals Products & Markets Our company provides specialty construction products and systems for educational, athletic, municipal, and recreation facilities, including: Athletic facility equipment Indoor and outdoor bleachers and grandstands Lockers Synthetic turf systems Running tracks Tennis and pickleball courts Gymnasium flooring Athletic netting and padding Accessibility equipment Specialty architectural and recreational products Specific product experience is not required . We can teach the products. Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Is competitive and motivated to win business Enjoys prospecting and developing relationships Is comfortable making outbound calls and approaching new customers Follows up consistently and doesn't allow opportunities to disappear Can manage a large pipeline of projects and customers Is highly organized and accountable Has excellent written and verbal communication skills Is comfortable meeting with contractors, architects, school administrators, and public-sector decision-makers Can work independently and manage a territory Understands that construction sales requires long-term relationship development Takes ownership of results Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following is preferred: Construction Sales | Building Materials | Specialty Contracting | Athletic Facilities | Architectural Products | General Contracting | Business Development | K-12 Construction | Municipal Construction | Commercial Construction Construction experience is preferred, but we will consider an exceptional salesperson who demonstrates the ability to learn our industry. What Success Looks Like A successful Sales Representative will: Build a strong pipeline of Alabama opportunities Consistently identify new projects and customers Develop relationships with key contractors and decision-makers Get involved with projects early enough to influence purchasing decisions Maintain disciplined follow-up on every active opportunity Generate new customer relationships Increase repeat business Convert quotations into contracts Maintain healthy project profitability Meet or exceed annual sales goals Become a recognized resource within the Alabama construction and athletic-facilities market We want someone who will actively pursue opportunities, build relationships, and win work . Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary + commission/incentive compensation Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
