Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Parts Counter Associate to join our compact construction equipment dealership. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our clients by accurately managing parts inventory, assisting with machine maintenance needs, and supporting sales operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of equipment parts and services. Experience in dealership environments (machine or auto) or retail automotive settings is highly valued. This position is for full-time Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm. No weekends or holidays.
MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT
at least 50lbs. Duties Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct equipment parts and using product knowledge and inventory management systems. Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and order fulfillment to ensure availability of parts for service technicians and retail customers. Process sales transactions accurately through POS systems, handle cash and credit payments, and maintain proper cashiering procedures. Maintain organized stock areas, ensure proper labeling, and conduct regular inventory audits to prevent discrepancies. Collaborate with service technicians to facilitate efficient parts procurement Utilize software tools such as EXCEL and DIS Quantum for inventory tracking, reporting, and order management. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette while answering inquiries from customers or vendors. Support marketing initiatives by promoting available products, special offers, or services to enhance customer engagement. Qualifications Previous experience in automotive repair, dealership settings, or retail auto parts sales is preferred. Proficiency with inventory management systems, POS systems, and Microsoft Excel. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Effective communication skills—bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus—to serve diverse customer needs. Demonstrated sales management skills including upselling, and customer service excellence. Basic math skills including retail math for transactions and inventory calculations. Experience with dealership operations or automotive service environments is advantageous. Ability to handle cash accurately and maintain professionalism in all customer interactions. This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within our parts department while delivering outstanding customer service that builds lasting relationships with clients.
