Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and personable Part-Time Gallery Sales Associate to join our vibrant team. Duties Greet visitors warmly and provide friendly, attentive customer service to enhance their experience Assist guests in exploring artwork, offering detailed product information and engaging in product demos when appropriate Conduct upselling by recommending additional pieces or related products to increase sales opportunities Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card processing Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, restocking artwork, and ensuring the gallery looks inviting and professional at all times Stock shelves and storage areas efficiently, ensuring artwork is properly labeled and protected Answer visitor inquiries via phone with professionalism and courtesy, providing information about current exhibitions or upcoming events Support inventory management through basic stock checks and assisting with product demos for interested guests Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold gallery policies Qualifications Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in a gallery, boutique, or grocery store environment Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences; bilingual abilities are a plus Experience with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays effectively Supervising experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn leadership skills is valued Knowledge of art or cultural products is beneficial but not mandatory—training will be provided Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with active engagement in product demos and upselling techniques Join us as a Part-Time Gallery Sales Associate and become part of a passionate team dedicated to inspiring creativity and fostering community through art!
