GENERAL
JOB SUMMARY
The On-Call Campus Store Associate provides as-needed support for Iowa Lakes Community College Campus Store operations at the Emmetsburg Campus. This PRN position assists with customer service, point-of-sale transactions, merchandise processing, stocking, store organization, and other Campus Store activities during employee absences, peak periods, special events, and other times when additional coverage is needed. The ability to learn and operate the Campus Store point-of-sale system and provide friendly, accurate customer service is required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Constant (67-100%)
Provide friendly and professional customer service to students, employees, visitors, and members of the public.
Operate the Campus Store point-of-sale system and accurately process cash, credit/debit card, student account, and other authorized transactions.
Assist customers with locating merchandise, apparel, supplies, and other Campus Store products.
Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and customer-ready Campus Store environment.
Work cooperatively with Campus Store employees and other College departments to provide consistent customer service and store operations.
Frequent (34-66%)
Receive, unpack, price, stock, and organize merchandise as directed.
Maintain Campus Store merchandise and storage areas, including product placement, displays, organization, and general neatness
Assist with inventory activities, including merchandise counts, transfers, returns, and corrections as directed.
Monitor merchandise, food, and beverage inventory and notify regular Campus Store staff of low inventory, outdated products, pricing discrepancies, or other concerns.
In coordination with Campus Store staff, the supervisor, Financial Aid, and the Campus Store point-of-sale system, assist with processing and monitoring the accuracy of Student Financial Aid vouchers for eligible student purchases.
Balance the assigned cash register and complete required sales and deposit documentation in accordance with College procedures.
Provide Campus Store coverage during employee absences, peak periods, special events, and other times as requested.
Assist with mail and package receipt or distribution as needed.
Occasional (10-33%)
Assist with textbook, course-material, and bookstore sales during registration, semester-start periods, and other times of increased student demand.
Assist students with Financial Aid voucher purchases and student account transactions in accordance with Campus Store and College procedures.
Assist with receiving, stocking, organizing, and returning textbooks and course materials as directed.
Assist with special Campus Store promotions, events, inventory counts, and other projects.
Work additional or varied hours during peak registration periods or when additional Campus Store coverage is needed.
Contact vendors or publishers regarding order discrepancies or damaged products as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to provide friendly, professional, and responsive customer service.
Ability to accurately handle cash, process retail transactions, and work with numbers.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn the Campus Store point-of-sale system and other College technology.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established College procedures.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
Ability to adapt to changing assignments and work independently when appropriate.
Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a retail environment.
Ability to represent Iowa Lakes Community College positively when interacting with students, employees, visitors, vendors, and members of the public.
SPECIAL DEMANDS
Medium work. Position involves sitting and standing; exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently (34-66%). Stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and carrying, occasionally (10-33%). Walking, lifting, and grasping frequently (34-66%). Talking, hearing, viewing various types of close visual work, and repetitive motion, constantly (67-100%). May be required to travel utilizing personal vehicle. Must have valid driver's license, good driving record and provide proof of insurance.
Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalency required. Good computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets required.
Salary:
$16.62 per hour
